I am an American and I love my country even though I’m a Democrat. Yes, we too are capable of being model citizens. I (speaking for myself) am tired of being sh*t on and labelled a radical left wing liberal monster who is just shy of being a Communist according to a person who idolizes the likes of Genghis Khan and Adolph Hitler.
My taxes get paid in full and on time every single year. I have never violated any part of the Constitution. I am proud to belong to the second generation of immigrants. I am proud to have a college education. I’ve held a job since I was nine years old to help pay for it. I follow all aspects of the news, not just the parts I want to complain about. I don’t selectively follow the headlines. I have never committed a felony. This is who I am.
Am I worthy of being an American? Not in this douche bag’s eyes. Am I mad as hell and not going to take it anymore (like in the movie Network)? I’m actually not. I’m too exhausted. This president has dismantled everything I have held as privilege. He has infiltrated every aspect of my life, or at least alluded to wanting to infiltrate every aspect of my life.
Of all the things this jack ass has spoiled, his manipulation of the country’s semiquincentennial is his most selfish and arrogant act. This milestone doesn’t just belong to him. It’s the last major celebration of patriotism I’ll see in what’s left of my life. How dare he take that away from me with a circus of an event featuring statues of himself? I have no Fourth of July plans. I have no Fourth of July commemorative tee shirt to don. As a resident of Philadelphia, I could walk to Independence Hall yet have no plans to do so.
Why does he not only get to celebrate but claim responsibility for this accolade and I don’t? I never did anything I’m unwilling to take responsibility for. Can he say the same? Certainly he cannot.
He’s involved us in a war with no strategy and no finish line. He’s wasted billions (and even killed ducks) of dollars defacing some of our country’s most revered architectural standouts. And he spent our money doing all this malarkey without seeking anyone’s permission. He wishes to reward people that stormed the Capitol on January Sixth. He has made cushy arrangements for a convicted sex felon that groomed underage girls to become escorts (likely to cover his own mishaps) and dismissed the Epstein Files as fiction. He’s adamant that our voting is rigged, insisting he won a presidential race that he didn’t. He favors manipulating elections while thumbing his nose at the financial struggles of (his) American citizens. And most importantly, he’s made our country a global laughing stock that no one takes seriously. Why would they?
This is only the crap he’s pulled in 2026! Scary that we still have thirty more months left to endure. Imagine the potential chaos he can wreak down the road? And our only recourse to fixing this isn’t a recourse at all. It’s a passive Supreme Court that he’s redesigned, much like that poisoned reflecting pool that won’t be fixed until after the Fourth of July. Thanks for that.
I don’t care if anyone agrees or disagrees with me anymore. I’m too tired to fight back. So talk amongst yourselves if you think I’m making this up. I don’t care anymore and I hate that I don’t. Hey I’m just a radical left wing liberal monster that bitches from the sidelines.
