I really did. We all did. The text chains were buzz’n. We just had an earthquake, and no we certainly had no idea what to do other than panic. They just don’t happen here. It is known that Manhattan sits on a fault line, but everyone passes that info around as mythology. Surely it wouldn’t ever happen. That’s a California thing. We used to do snowstorms really well, but alas California took that away from us too. Tornados. A midwest thing initiated by uncertainty of the best coast to head toward to get there hell out of the midwest.
Tough choice lately.
Thank god New England still embraces the four seasons. Can’t imagine living in an area where the weather is the same every single day. Like I got winter coats to wear and slickers to slip into. But lately, they’ve just been hanging like a bunch of sad sacs. They’re all on hiatus.
But the earthquake thing. The walls inside my house were actually shaking. Remember that scene from the Exorcist? Kinda like that. But the worst thing (for me) is that I have an obsession with all the picture frames being level at all times. It drives me nuts. I got an app with that green bubble and now I’ll be spending the rest of the day putting it to use. I can’t go on until things are just so.
Maybe I should go with oval frames so I can move on.
The college diploma stays. Everything else?
